Allen Lane, are seeking an experienced Interim Senior Finance Business Partner to support the Corporate Services function of a Local Authority client on an initial 6-month interim basis.
This is a key interim role focused on strengthening financial management, developing high-quality management reporting, and supporting with embedding a finance business partnering model across corporate departments.
This opportunity is ideal for a proactive Local Government finance professional with strong stakeholder management skills and experience driving improvement in finance business partnering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance management reporting dashboards, KPIs, and financial insight for senior leadership
- Implement and embed an effective Finance Business Partnering model across Corporate Services
- Provide strategic financial support to senior managers and budget holders
- Lead on budget monitoring, forecasting, and financial planning
- Improve financial processes, controls, and decision-making frameworks
- Support savings programmes, transformation projects, and service reviews
- Deliver clear financial analysis to support Executive and Directorate decisions
Candidate Requirements:
- Significant experience in Local Authority / Local Government finance
- Proven track record in management reporting and finance business partnering
- Strong background supporting Corporate Services functions
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
This role offers hybrid working with 2 days on site in London per week
