Summary: A Senior Finance Business Partner is needed for an interim role within a regulatory organisation, focusing on financial insight and budget management. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and the production of management reporting packs. The role supports the organisation's strategic goals through financial analysis and decision-making. This is a hybrid position with a preference for office attendance in Bootle, Liverpool.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a Finance Business Partner to internal and external stakeholders, providing financial insight and challenge.
- Produce and develop month-end management reporting packs, including variance analysis and commentary.
- Support financial decision-making through ad hoc reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Maintain and enhance financial models to improve planning and reporting processes.
- Work closely with Finance and non-Finance teams, as well as external stakeholders such as the National Audit Office (NAO).
- Ensure compliance with financial procedures and drive continuous improvement.
- Support the organisation’s leadership team with financial analysis, insights, and recommendations.
Key Skills:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) or working towards qualification.
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
- Expertise in financial systems, reporting tools (e.g., Hyperion, Power BI), and Excel.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate complex financial data into clear and actionable insights.
