Summary: The Senior Finance Analyst RTR role at DHL involves performing essential accounting processes within the finance function for a 12-month fixed-term contract. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform accounting processes for various sites, including month-end and reconciliations.
  • Engage regularly with site operations teams and reporting teams for process completion.
  • Build business knowledge to support decision-making for the customer/sites.
  • Maintain period-end and year-end closing schedules.
  • Ensure adherence to finance processes and timely report production.
  • Participate in process improvement workshops.
  • Provide updates to the Reporting Manager on process completion and issues.
  • Deliver processes to agreed KPI requirements and support performance management.
  • Manage individual workflow to meet deadlines.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks and operational admin activities as required.

Key Skills:

  • Knowledge of financial compliance and reporting requirements.
  • 2-3 years of accounting experience in logistics or a similar industry.

DHL, an award-winning, leading supply chain business is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst RTR to play a vital role within our Finance function, performing all accounting processes for their respective operation. WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, you will be responsible for:

  • Perform accounting processes in scope for a range of sites, customers or functions as directed like month end, reconciliations (i.e. Open Book Recs, Payroll Recs, Revenue BS Rec, etc.), fixed assets accounting etc.
  • Open book equalisations
  • Regular engagement with site ops teams, Reporting team, BU FC's and shared services on inputs and outputs for the completion of common processes
  • Build deep business knowledge for the customer/sites in scope to provide support for decision making
  • Effectively maintain period end and year end closing schedules for the customer/sites in scope
  • Adherence to finance processes and accurate, timely report production
  • Participate in process improvement workshops and activity
  • Provide regular updates to the Reporting Manager on process completion, issue resolution and any escalations
  • Deliver the processes in scope to the agreed KPI requirements and support performance management
  • Support change programmes
  • Ensure all standard accounting processes on and off system are followed identifying continuous improvement opportunities to the Reporting Manager
  • Manage individual workflow ensuring agreed deadlines are met
  • Ad hoc tasks as required
  • Any other purchasing or operational admin related activities as required by the Controller or Manager

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

Knowledge of financial compliance and reporting requirements

2-3 Years experience of performing accounting in a logistics or similar industry would be a preference

Experience of using Oracle Cloud would be a preference

Effective time management skills

Clear, effective communicator with strong stakeholder management skills

Ability to work well in a team

Strong financial and analytical skills
