Summary: The Senior Events Project Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of complex temporary structure and event build projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role requires a commercially minded leader with extensive experience in large-scale event infrastructure and the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments. The position involves managing multiple projects simultaneously while overseeing financial performance and stakeholder relationships. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a proven track record in project management within the events sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multiple large-scale event build projects simultaneously.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle from concept and planning through to on-site build, live delivery, and de-rig.
  • Develop and manage project programmes, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Oversee supplier coordination, procurement, and contract management.
  • Ensure projects are delivered to agreed timelines and profitability targets.
  • Own project P&L performance including cost control, margin management, and cashflow oversight.
  • Manage purchase orders, approvals, and supplier negotiations.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks throughout delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Lead cross-functional internal teams including operations, technical, and logistics.
  • Drive clear communication across all project phases.
  • Support bid processes, proposals, and new project opportunities where required.
  • Oversee temporary structures, site overlay, and event infrastructure requirements.
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including RAMS documentation.
  • Lead on-site build and de-rig phases, ensuring safe and efficient execution.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to drive continuous improvement.

Key Skills:

  • Extensive experience delivering complex event projects (sporting events, exhibitions, sponsorship activations, festivals or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of temporary structures and live event infrastructure.
  • Proven commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and supplier negotiations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead high-performing teams in high-pressure environments.
  • Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and G-Suite.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
