An international law firm is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Senior Events Executive to join its newly established centralised events function on a 12-month fixed term contract.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced events professional to play a key role in delivering high-quality corporate hospitality, in-person and virtual events that strengthen client relationships and elevate the firm’s market profile.

Working closely with Business Development, Brand and Marketing Communications teams - as well as Partners, Directors and senior fee-earners - you will help shape and execute an impactful events programme aligned with strategic priorities across jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Business Development colleagues to develop and deliver an events programme aligned with service line priorities and target markets.
  • Contribute creative ideas for innovative formats, venues and experiences that differentiate the firm and maximise client engagement.
  • Support adherence to standardised workflows, governance processes and best practice.
  • Research and assess event requests, providing informed recommendations to maximise impact and ROI.
  • Ensure all events comply with firm policies, brand standards, financial controls and relevant regulatory considerations.
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of a broad range of events, including seminars, webinars, conferences, roundtables, thought-leadership events and industry exhibitions.
  • Coordinate client entertainment and corporate hospitality activities.
  • Work closely with colleagues across jurisdictions to provide consistent, high-quality event support.
  • Oversee logistics including venues, suppliers, catering, production, branding and merchandise, ensuring seamless integration with marketing campaigns.
  • Manage budgets, monitor spend and identify opportunities for cost optimisation without compromising quality.
  • Attend events as required to oversee delivery and stakeholder management — including occasional overseas travel.
  • Manage invitations, RSVPs and attendance tracking, ensuring effective CRM integration to support client intelligence and BD activity.
  • Produce post-event reports covering attendance analysis, budget tracking and insights to inform future planning.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • 3–4 years’ experience in an events role, with responsibility for planning and delivering multiple corporate events simultaneously.
  • Strong logistics, supplier coordination, budgeting and attendee management experience.
  • Proficiency with CRM, email marketing and event management platforms.
  • Tech-savvy with strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience delivering virtual and hybrid events is desirable.
  • Background in professional services or a corporate environment, with an understanding of client-focused standards and expectations.
  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Confident managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • A client-service mindset and commitment to delivering high-quality, on-brand experiences.
