Summary: The Senior ETL / Data Lake Engineer will play a crucial role in a major digital transformation project for a FinTech company, focusing on building modern data infrastructure. This position involves developing data pipelines and ingestion flows to support data-driven decision-making and operational efficiency. The role requires expertise in high-scale data environments and proficiency in tools and languages relevant to data engineering. The contract is for 9 months, offering a competitive daily rate and a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain ETL pipelines and data ingestion flows for a modern data lake.
- Utilize tools such as Airflow, Airbyte, and Fivetran for data processing.
- Work with AWS S3, Athena, and Delta Lake architectures.
- Implement batch and streaming data solutions using technologies like Kafka and Kinesis.
- Ensure data quality and throughput in pipeline scaling.
- Write production-grade code in Python, SQL, or similar languages.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven initiatives.
Key Skills:
- Experience with high-scale data environments.
- Proficiency in relational and NoSQL databases.
- Strong coding skills in Python, SQL, or similar languages.
- Prior experience in FinTech, SaaS, or consulting environments.
- Familiarity with data quality and throughput considerations.
- Knowledge of batch and streaming data processing technologies.
