Summary: The Senior Enterprise Architect will lead the design and implementation of innovative cloud and hybrid multi-cloud solutions for a global investment banking firm. This role focuses on driving scalability, security, and compliance within the technology landscape, particularly utilizing Azure and Google Cloud Platform. The architect will collaborate with various stakeholders to enforce architectural standards and guide application design. This position is crucial for the firm's strategic growth in the EMEA region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead enterprise-wide architecture initiatives across cloud and hybrid environments
- Design secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud solutions (Azure, GCP, hybrid)
- Define and enforce architectural principles, policies, and standards
- Collaborate with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and vendors
- Guide cloud-native application design and infrastructure optimisation
- Stay ahead of emerging tech trends and regulatory requirements (eg DORA)
Key Skills:
- 5-10 years' experience as an Enterprise Architect with hands-on Azure & GCP expertise
- Deep knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and hybrid cloud models
- Familiarity with TOGAF/Zachman frameworks
- Proficiency in Terraform, ARM/Bicep, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud security standards (ISO 27001, SOC2, GDPR)
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
