Senior Engineering Surveyor

Summary: The Senior Engineering Surveyor will play a crucial role in a major highways improvement scheme in Norfolk, supporting the Chief Engineering Surveyor and Engineering Survey Manager. This position involves coordinating technical work streams throughout all project stages, ensuring the development of engineering survey teams, and maintaining quality standards in surveying practices. The role requires expertise in land surveying or engineering, particularly in civil projects involving bridges and structures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop engineering survey teams to meet project needs.
• Ensure the project has the appropriate survey control network for construction requirements.
• Set out works according to contract requirements before work commences.
• Provide expert advice and guidance on engineering surveying and geospatial best practices.
• Conduct topographical surveys and prepare reports and measures for engineering works on site.
• Review information with the engineering team to ensure it is sufficient and correctly formatted for setting out works.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards in setting out and inspection and test plans.

Key Skills:

• Experience in land surveying or engineering on civil projects.
• Experience working on bridges and structures.
