Summary: The Senior Engineering Project Manager will oversee the delivery of complex projects within the defence sector, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. This role involves managing the design, development, and delivery of electronic sub-systems from concept to production. The position requires strong project management skills and the ability to influence stakeholders effectively. The role is hybrid, requiring a minimum of two days on-site each week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver significant projects/programmes on time and within budget.
- Manage projects across various phases, from conception and initiation through manufacture and qualification to customer delivery.
- Drive the design, development, and delivery of complex electronic sub-systems.
- Implement Project Management best practices, including Risk Management, Stakeholder Management, Compliance Management, Configuration Management, and Earned Value Management.
- Influence others with excellent communication skills.
- Maintain an organised approach with attention to detail and pride in delivery.
Key Skills:
- Preferred background in Engineering, Science, or Electronics.
- Experience in Project Management best practices.
- Background in engineering development, ideally of complex systems or electronic units.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Experience in managing detailed design of electronics products and engineering development.
- Experience with companies like Alter electronic, E2V, BAE Systems is a plus.
