Summary: The role of Senior Engineer involves overseeing a major infrastructure project for a Tier 1 contractor on a contract basis. The position requires ensuring all necessary permits are in place, managing subcontractors, and liaising with clients and stakeholders. The engineer will also be responsible for quality checks, method statements, and design drawing reviews. This contract is expected to last between 6 to 9 months.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all permits ready for site work to commence
• Complete Inspection and Test Plans, and Quality Check Sheets
• Setting out and surveying
• Managing subcontractors
• Manage distribution of information
• Write and approve method statements and risk assessments
• Liaising with the client and other key stakeholders
• Checking design drawings and reporting any issues or inconsistencies
• Liaise with other Sections to ensure a smooth flow of work
• Regularly review procedures for efficiency

Key Skills:

• Degree educated in a civil engineering discipline or equivalent experience
• Experience in cut/fill civils 3D modelling
• Previous highways experience
• Previous tier one contractor experience (desirable)
