Summary: Join a leading aerospace and defence organisation as a Senior Engineer Auxiliary Systems in Scotstoun, Glasgow, working on a hybrid basis. This role involves applying specialist design knowledge in mechanical aspects of Marine Systems to resolve complex design problems. The position is part of a drive for innovation within a talented team, offering an initial 12-month contract. The role is compensated at £40.64 per hour inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform engineering planning and manage technical outputs for systems within responsibility to meet program plan requirements.
  • Ensure quality of outputs in the area of responsibility while providing technical oversight of deliverables.

Key Skills:

  • Degree qualified in a Marine Engineering related discipline.
  • Chartered Engineer or working towards it; at minimum, should be Incorporated Engineer and Member of an appropriate Institute.
  • Experience in Mechanical Systems for marine applications.
  • Experience in the design, build, integration, support, and operation of Naval ships.
  • Knowledge and experience of shipbuilding, Operations processes, and modern build strategies.

Salary (Rate): £40.64 per hour

Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for Senior Engineer Auxiliary Systems to add to their talented, hardworking team in Glasgow (Hybrid working) on an initial 12 months contract. £40.64 per hour inside IR35 / Umbrella per hour

The role:

Applies a depth of specialist design knowledge in mechanical aspects of Marine Systems in order to resolve complex specialist design problems and issues.

* Perform appropriate engineering planning and manage all technical outputs allocated to systems within their responsibility to progress the tasks identified in the program plan and that they are delivered within agreed requirements for cost, quality, time and schedule.
* Ensure that the quality of outputs in the area of responsibility is to the required level, whilst providing technical oversight of deliverables.

Skills:

To succeed within this role, you'll have experience in a similar position, and you'll ideally have the following skills:

* Degree qualified in a Marine Engineering related discipline.
