Summary: The Senior Employee Relations Specialist role is a 6-month contract based in North London, primarily home-based with some office travel. The position requires acting as a subject matter expert in employee relations case activities, providing strategic guidance and commercial advice to managers. The role involves managing a range of employee relations issues and supporting HR Business Partners on project activities and changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide commercial ER advice to managers of all levels, compliant with employment legislation and HR policy/procedure.
  • Provide a Case Management service for ER issues, such as conduct, capability, grievance, and absence, ranging from low-risk policy-driven issues to high-risk, complex cases of dismissal, harassment, settlement, and reputational risk.
  • Provide strategic guidance to HR Business Partners on matters of project activity and change, such as restructures, redundancy, and contract variation.
  • Provide on-site, face-to-face support when required.

Key Skills:

  • Experience of working in a Case Management function, preferably within a Shared Service environment.
  • Strong subject matter expertise in ER with a high degree of knowledge and experience for the UK.
  • Experience of operating at a senior advisory level.
  • Confident in the provision of advice, and able to challenge where necessary.
