Senior Electrical Control & Instrumentation Engineer

We’re working with an engineering company specialising in solving complex engineering challenges across industries—from Power Generation, Rail and more.

The Role:

This role is for a Senior Electrical Control & Instrumentation Engineer—someone ambitious and ready to make an impact.

You’ll be results-oriented and driven to succeed.

You’ll be leading a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:

• Technical leadership on control and instrumentation systems,
• Supporting asset lifecycle management,
• Developing modifications and upgrades,
• Ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory and operational requirements.

The Individual: We’re looking for people who can show:

• Degree in Control & Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
• C&I engineering within a highly regulated industry.
• Industrial control systems, PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation and functional safety.
• Producing and reviewing engineering calculations, specifications and design documentation.

Desirable Attributes:

Understanding of safety-critical environments and regulatory compliance requirements.

• Experience with IEC 61508/61511 functional safety standards.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience working in defence, energy, infrastructure or process industries.

The Benefits:

Salary circa £55 000 per annum
