Role: Contract Senior EC&I Engineer

Location: Glasgow

Job Type: 12 month contract outside of IR35

A well-established engineering firm specialising in the design and delivery of complex rotating equipment and handling systems is looking to hire a Senior EC&I Engineer on a long-term outside IR35 contract. (initial 12 month duration). You’ll join a highly skilled team working on a strong pipeline of projects in the energy and industrial sectors. This is a hybrid role (3 days on-site, 2 remote) based in Glasgow.

Key Experience Sought:

  • Proven EC&I engineering background.
  • Electrical design experience.
  • Solid knowledge of MV motors, VFDs, transformers
  • Hazardous area design experience (IEC 60079, ATEX)
  • Experience with skid-mounted/package units (instrument hook-up, loop checks, cabling, glands, JBs)
  • Familiarity with machine monitoring systems (e.g. Bently Nevada)
  • Ability to manage bought-in packages (seal systems, lube oil systems, etc.)
  • Strong documentation and drawing skills (AutoCAD, P&IDs, loop diagrams, I/O lists, panel layouts, etc.)

Security Requirement: Due to the sensitive nature of the work, candidates must be British nationals, holding either a British passport or dual citizenship.
