Summary: The Senior DSEAR Engineer will lead technical design work related to Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations (DSEAR) across various sectors in the UK. This role involves managing project timelines and budgets while ensuring adherence to quality assurance standards. The engineer will collaborate with teams both domestically and internationally to deliver integrated design solutions for critical infrastructure projects. Chartered Engineer status and experience in DSEAR design delivery are essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes.
- Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and contribute to bid proposals.
- Manage time and budgets to meet key project milestones and programmes.
- Collaborate with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.
Key Skills:
- Chartered Engineer status with training in hazardous area determination and risk assessment.
- Experience leading DSEAR in design delivery, preferably within the water or related process industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of DSEAR application, risk assessment, and area classification.
- Understanding of DSEAR legislation, ATEX directives, and CDM.
