Summary: The Senior Digital Project Manager role involves leading the delivery of digital projects for a central government customer, utilizing a hybrid approach. This position offers the opportunity to work on significant public sector initiatives while collaborating with various stakeholders and suppliers. The contract is for 9 months and falls under inside IR35 regulations. The role is based in Newcastle with a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of several digital projects using a hybrid delivery approach.
- Collaborate with a range of stakeholders and suppliers.
- Manage projects with third-party suppliers.
- Oversee legacy technology projects.
- Plan projects and manage dependencies effectively.
- Utilize both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Work within the GDS (Government Digital Service) framework.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Project or Programme Manager.
- Strong stakeholder management skills (internal and external).
- Excellent understanding of project planning and dependency management.
- Strong knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience managing legacy technology projects.
- Previous experience working within the GDS framework.

We're excited to be supporting one of our clients who are in turn working with a central government customer on a major programme and are looking for a Senior Digital Project Manager to lead the delivery of several digital projects using a hybrid delivery approach.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on impactful public sector initiatives and collaborate with a range of stakeholders and suppliers.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Project or Programme Manager
- Demonstrated success in delivering projects with third-party suppliers
- Strong stakeholder management skills (internal and external)
- Experience managing legacy technology projects
- Excellent understanding of project planning and dependency management
- Strong knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
- Essential: Previous experience working within the GDS (Government Digital Service) framework

- Location: Newcastle (Hybrid working - 2 days on site per month)
