Counter Terrorism Policing North West (CTPNW) is a five-force collaboration delivering Counter Terrorism (CT) services to our regional forces as well as forming part of the national CT Network. CTPNW’s mission is to work together to keep people safe from terrorism. We are looking for a committed and outstanding individual who can support CTPNW in achieving its mission.
We are seeking to recruit an additional Senior Digital Forensic Investigator to join our team who will oversee the integrity, efficiency, and quality of digital forensic investigations, ensuring compliance with legal standards and CTPNW protocols. In this role you will manage a team of Digital Forensic Investigators, providing technical knowledge and investigative skills in all aspects of CT digital functions. Monitor performance and development, providing guidance, mentorship, and manage training pathways. To provide digital strategies, resource allocation to submissions, technical and investigative oversight to all digital forensic investigations within the DFIU and support the CT Network where required. Provide expert advice and briefings to Senior Investigating Officers and stakeholders on Digital Forensics. Oversee the acquisition, analysis, and preservation of digital evidence from devices such as computers, mobile phones, and storage media. To undertake the Technical Manager role within CT Digital Investigations scope of accreditation, providing specialist technical expertise, skills and knowledge in digital forensics to support the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO/IEC 17020 accreditation requirements, as well as compliance with the FSR Codes of Practice.
