Senior DevOps Engineer | Linux, Infrastructure & AutomationA major global financial organisation are improving their technology estate for a critical systems and are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong Linux, infrastructure and automation expertise.
The role will focus on supporting enterprise infrastructure, developing automation and scripting solutions, and contributing to large-scale migration and transformation programmes.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience across RHEL and Unix environments, strong knowledge of infrastructure and Oracle technologies, and the ability to work independently within a complex enterprise environment.
Key qualifications and experience:
- 8+ years’ experience in DevOps, Platform, Systems or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
- Deep expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration and strong Unix/Linux troubleshooting and support experience.
- Strong Bash scripting and Python automation skills, with experience automating infrastructure and operational processes.
- Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, including on-premises environments, server lifecycle management, patching and upgrades.
- Strong Oracle and database infrastructure knowledge, with experience working across infrastructure and engineering teams.
- Proven experience delivering infrastructure migrations and large-scale transformation projects.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work autonomously and drive issues through to resolution
This is a £475-525/day PAYE role (Cf £625/day umbrella). Initially for six months but extendible. Based London with hybrid working.
