Summary: We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior DevOps Engineer in Leeds, UK. The role requires extensive experience in CI/CD processes, particularly in AWS and Databricks, along with a strong understanding of Git repositories. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and managing CI/CD pipelines and mentoring junior team members. This position is contract-based with on-site requirements once a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and AWS.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD processes for Databricks.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
- Manage and optimize monolithic Git repositories.
- Utilize Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform for automation and configuration management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CI/CD pipelines and deployments.
- Ensure best practices and security measures are followed in all CI/CD processes.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in CI/CD practices and technologies.
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in CI/CD and DevOps (Must have).
- Proven experience in delivering at least two end-to-end CI/CD lifecycles in AWS using GitLab (Must Have).
- Extensive experience with CI/CD processes in Databricks (Must have).
- Strong understanding of monolithic Git repositories.
- Proficiency in Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Experience with containerization technologies (eg, Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
