Summary: The Senior DevOps Engineer role at Whitehall Resources involves designing, building, and maintaining a standardized DevOps framework to ensure reliable and secure service deployment in production. Key Responsibilities:
- Select the right suite of tools to design, build and improve the CI/CD pipeline collaboratively across the Global Technology.
- Onboard Product teams onto the pipeline and continuously improve them to make it seamless for the teams.
- Enable Observability for the Services within the pipeline across multiple environments.
- Design and build the cloud infrastructure that is scalable, performant and adheres to the Information Security principles and best practices.
- Support Incident management responses for Cloud and Infrastructure issues and enable quick restoration of Services.
- Build and design mechanisms to provide costs and resource utilization of the Services that is easily accessible, transparent, and granular.
- Ensure the infrastructure resources are running up to date versions and enable development teams upgrade and maintain them on an ongoing basis.
Key Skills:
- Subject matter expert in DevOps, Cloud Management and Finops.
- Experience of working in a cloud environment – AWS.
- Experience with designing and building Infrastructure as a Code (e.g. Terraform) frameworks.
- Experience of building pipeline from scratch, continuously improve the pipelines particularly using GitHub.
- Experience of working with mono repos and ability to scale the Pipeline for large Engineering teams to enable parallel deployments.
- Knowledge of configuration management, Service management, and Release management tool kit to enable high degree of automation across those areas.
- Knowledge of containerization, orchestration of workloads across multiple environments.
- Experience with programming languages, particularly bash, python etc. from Cloud and Infrastructure management perspective.
- Knowledge of Information Security best practices enabling adoption of the practices all through the lifecycle.

Senior DevOps Engineer
Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer.
This role will be Inside of IR35, so you will be required to use an FCSA Accredited Umbrella Company.
Key Requirements:
– Looking for experienced Senior/Senior/Principal DevOps/CloudOps professional to join our team to design, build and maintain the standardized DevOps framework that will enable deployment of reliable, scalable, performant, and secure services in Production.
– The individual will work within the Product Squad strongly collaborating with Engineering, Product and QA.
– Beyond the squad they will interact with Service Reliability, Information Security, Architecture, QA, Production enablement, Observability, and Service Delivery teams.
– This role is a technical hand on role with 75% split on the design of framework and 25% on the implementation and adoption.
– You will be improving/redesigning the existing Pipelines, adopting best practices, and using tools that will help us automate the deployment accommodating requirements from across Development, QA & Test, Release, and Information Security.
– You will actively remove friction for the various teams involved in the value chain of releasing technology services to the cloud environments.
– You will advocate and enable autonomy of teams to be able to deploy services and workloads into production and onboarding teams on to the pipeline.
– You will maintain the roadmap of features and upgrades to the pipelines to keep up with technology innovations and the product roadmap.
