Summary: A leading Public Sector client is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to shape and maintain a modern cloud infrastructure that supports critical applications across various platforms. This role is a 6-month contract requiring up to 2 days per week in Liverpool and is classified as inside IR35. The position demands extensive experience with cloud platforms and automation tools. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and operational support of secure, scalable web services.
- Champion automation across deployment, configuration, and monitoring processes.
- Govern and optimise multi-environment infrastructure using code-driven approaches.
- Develop robust internal tools and frameworks to enhance infrastructure reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed DevOps principles and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience with AWS and Azure.
- Advanced proficiency with Terraform.
- Deep understanding of Docker and Kubernetes (ECS / EKS).
- Skilled in managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Working knowledge of Go, Python, and JavaScript for automation and tooling.

Experience Requirements:
- Cloud Platforms: Proven experience with AWS and Azure.
- Infrastructure as Code: Advanced proficiency with Terraform.
- Containerisation & Orchestration: Deep understanding of Docker and Kubernetes (ECS / EKS).
- Continuous Integration / Delivery: Skilled in managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
