Summary: The role of Mid/Senior Developer involves contributing to a large digital experience programme with a focus on transforming customer-facing applications. The position requires adherence to best practices in development and deployment while supporting a shift from project-based to product-focused development. The role is hybrid, requiring 2-3 days on-site in Warrington or York, with the remainder of the work being remote. This contract position is inside IR35 and has a duration of 6 months, with a likelihood of extension.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the transition from project-based delivery to product-focused development.
- Embed disciplined code promotion processes and improve CI/CD practices.
- Drive improvements in code quality and maintainability.
- Enhance application observability, including logging and monitoring.
- Provide technical guidance and advocate for best development practices.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript & TypeScript.
- Experience with Next.js and Node.js.
- Familiarity with Git flow branching strategy.
- Development experience with Azure Function Apps.
- Proficiency in GitHub Enterprise.
- Hands-on experience deploying and hosting apps in Azure.
- Agile/Scrum team experience.
- Strong documentation skills with Markdown.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience, ideally with Bicep (desirable).
