Summary: The Senior DevOps Engineer will lead the design, build, and deployment of cloud-based environments while promoting DevOps best practices across teams. The position is hybrid, requiring three days on-site in various UK cities. The contract duration is 12 months with a maximum day rate of £750.00 inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, build, deployment, and support of cloud infrastructure and services using automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Promote and embed DevOps best practices across teams, encouraging continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Build, improve, deploy, and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure services and environments.
- Identify areas where processes, tooling, or practices can be improved and provide guidance on implementing best-practice solutions.
- Take ownership of large and complex technical workstreams, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with organisational objectives.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation, including operational procedures, architecture diagrams, and deployment guides.
- Support development and testing teams by providing stable, well-managed environments and deployment pipelines.
- Coach, mentor, and support colleagues, fostering knowledge sharing and capability development within the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system reliability, performance, security, and operational efficiency.
