Summary: Expleo is seeking a highly creative Automotive Designer for a contract role with a globally renowned Automotive OEM in Central London. The position involves developing innovative exterior and interior concepts, collaborating with global teams, and ensuring design integrity throughout the production process. Candidates should possess a strong portfolio and relevant experience in automotive design studios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and develop visual concept proposals in collaboration with the Global Colour Group, bringing a unique and innovative perspective
- Create design proposals for concept and production vehicles
- Collaborate across global design organization
- Translate trends and insights into forward-thinking design concepts
- Deliver high-quality sketches and visualisations
- Lead clay and digital modelling development to realise designs in 3D
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design integrity through to completion
- Contribute to technical and styling reviews, maintaining design quality and feasibility
Key Skills:
- Degree in Automotive or Industrial Design
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Alias, VRED, Blender
- Strong exterior design portfolio demonstrating creativity, technical skills and process
- Significant relevant experience in OEM automotive design studios
- Experience contributing to concept and/or production vehicle development
- Strong technical knowledge of engineering constraints and ability to feedback into design proposals
- Ability to translate briefs and feedback into clear design direction
