Summary: The Senior Design Consultant will lead the electrical aspects of the T.50s vehicle programme, focusing on parts release and development activities for the electrical system. This role requires extensive experience in electrical system design, particularly within the automotive industry, and involves chairing meetings, reporting to senior management, and mentoring a team. The position is contract-based and located in Warwick/Coventry, outside of IR35 regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the electrical aspects of the T.50s vehicle programme in preparation for production release.
- Focus on parts release and development activities for the electrical system.
- Review electrical harness CAD, ensuring correct harness routing and clipping support from Tier 1 suppliers.
- Chair all required meetings and document actions through RAG status.
- Report to senior management on production release readiness and identify associated risks.
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience in electrical system design, preferably in the automotive industry or low-volume manufacturing.
- Deep understanding of vehicle electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, ECUs, sensors, power distribution, and battery management systems.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.

Focus on parts release and DV activities for the electrical system
Including review electrical harness CAD including correct harness routing and clipping support supplied by Tier 1 supplier in the context of the vehicle
Chair all required meetings and minute actions through RAG status
Report out to Senior management on Production Release readiness and identify any associated risk
Qualifications / Skills needed
