Summary: The Senior Design Consultant will lead the electrical aspects of the T.50s vehicle programme, focusing on parts release and development activities for the electrical system. This role requires extensive experience in electrical system design, particularly within the automotive industry, and involves reporting to senior management on production readiness. The consultant will also chair meetings and mentor a team of engineers and technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the electrical aspects of the T.50s vehicle programme in the run up to production release
- Focus on parts release and DV activities for the electrical system
- Including review electrical harness CAD including correct harness routing and clipping support supplied by Tier 1 supplier in the context of the vehicle
- Chair all required meetings and minute actions through RAG status
- Report out to Senior management on Production Release readiness and identify any associated risk
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience in electrical system design, preferably within the automotive industry or in low-volume manufacturing.
- Deep understanding of vehicle electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, ECUs, sensors, power distribution, and battery management systems.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- Ability to guide and mentor a team of engineers and technicians.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
