Summary: The Senior Design Engineer for Body & Chassis will be responsible for CAD design within Chassis Engineering, specifically focusing on automotive applications. The role requires extensive experience with Creo and Windchill, as well as knowledge of motorcycle engineering and GD&T. The position is based in Shirley, UK, and operates outside of IR35 regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize Creo and Windchill for CAD design in Chassis Engineering.
- Design and release component systems for automotive applications.
- Apply knowledge of datums and GD&T in design processes.
- Conduct feasibility assessments within the APQP framework, including DFMEA, DFA/DFM, DVP, component planning, and PPAP.
- Collaborate effectively in a team environment and communicate fluently in English.
Key Skills:
- 5+ years of automotive CAD design experience, specifically with Creo and Windchill.
- Experience in motorcycle engineering.
- Strong understanding of datums and GD&T.
- Proven skills in feasibility assessment and decision-making regarding tolerancing and material sections.
- Manufacturing experience is desirable.
