Senior Delivery Manager

About the opportunity

You'll work closely with the Head of Delivery and senior stakeholders across the organisation to create and drive delivery plans for key Data & Analytics initiatives.

This role sits above individual product or project delivery, focusing on improving consistency, governance, planning, and delivery performance across a broad portfolio of work.

You'll play a key role in bringing greater structure and predictability to delivery, managing dependencies across teams, and helping mature delivery practices across the wider directorate.

What you'll be doing

• Creating and maintaining delivery plans across multiple strategic initiatives
• Working closely with senior stakeholders to align priorities and outcomes
• Managing dependencies, risks, and delivery challenges across teams
• Supporting governance, reporting, and delivery assurance activities
• Helping define and implement delivery best practices and standards
• Driving greater consistency, predictability, and transparency across delivery teams
• Coaching and influencing teams to improve ways of working

What we're looking for

• Strong Delivery Management experience within complex organisations
• Experience operating at SFIA Level 6 or equivalent seniority
• Proven ability to manage delivery across multiple workstreams or portfolios
• Strong stakeholder management skills, including senior leadership engagement
• Experience improving delivery frameworks, governance, and ways of working
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive outcomes across large matrix environments
• Background working in data, digital, technology, or transformation programmes is highly desirable
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
