Summary: The Senior Data Protection Manager at Moneybox will lead data protection initiatives within a fast-growing company, reporting to the Risk & Compliance Director. This role involves establishing a data protection framework, conducting risk assessments, and providing strategic advice on data protection matters. The position is a 6-month fixed-term contract, emphasizing collaboration and innovation in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting up the data protection framework in the new Diligent governance, risk and compliance tool
• Carrying out data protection risk assessments, including data protection impact assessments
• Providing data protection input and contributing to the audit of storage and access technology
• Offering pragmatic advice on data protection for product development and AI usage
• Assisting with data protection risk management, including monitoring and reporting
• Ensuring the delivery of ongoing responsibilities such as data subject access requests
• Contributing to periodic reviews to enhance controls
• Assisting with regulatory and ad hoc projects to deliver change
• Preparing and maintaining policies and procedures

Key Skills:

• Demonstrable data protection experience with detailed knowledge of UK GDPR and PECR
• Knowledge of PSD2 is a bonus but not required
• Experience identifying and implementing improvements
• Great communication and listening skills
• Fluency in English
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
