Summary: As a Senior Data Project Manager in Retail, you will lead a Data Product squad to implement data-related changes for a major UK retailer. Your role will involve acting as a Scrum Master, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, and managing project timelines and risks. This position requires a strong technical understanding of data systems and a proven ability to drive projects to successful completion. The contract is initially for 3-6 months and requires onsite work in London two days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a Data Product squad, guiding the team in delivering data-related changes
  • Serve as a Scrum Master, facilitating team meetings, managing timelines and dependencies
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across the Data & Analytics and Data & Insights functions
  • Ensure the team meets its commitments and project milestones
  • Identify and mitigate risks, proactively addressing any issues that arise
  • Foster a collaborative and productive team environment

Key Skills:

  • Significant experience in a similar project management or Scrum Master role, preferably in a retail or data-driven environment
  • Strong technical understanding of data systems and processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to successful completion
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in Scrum ceremonies

We're seeking a Senior Data Project Manager help us take vision to value and create lasting impact for a large UK retailer Managed Service account

Please note, this is an initial 3-6 months inside IR35 PAYE Umbrella contract that will require onsite working in London 2 days per week

Summary

As our Senior Data Project Manager - Retail, you will oversee a Data Product squad of six engineering professionals, driving data-related changes across the Retail, Customer and FHB domains. You will act as a Scrum Master, bringing the team together, running ceremonies, keeping commitments on track, and managing timelines, dependencies, and risks. Strong communication across the Data & Analytics and Data & Insights stakeholders will be essential to the success of this role.
