Summary: The Senior Data Engineer role involves collaborating with the Data Engineering team and BI Analysts to develop prototypes and analytical models that provide business insights. The position requires evaluating data engineering approaches and creating technical specifications while ensuring alignment with the data strategy. The engineer will also focus on continuous improvement and optimization of data solutions, alongside maintaining documentation and supporting technical issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop rapid prototypes and analytical models from various data sets to explore new business insights.
  • Evaluate and recommend approaches to meet data engineering requirements.
  • Develop technical specifications and support updates to project documentation and solution designs.
  • Collaborate with source system experts, functional business leads, and 3rd party partners on delivery projects.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement optimizations and performance tuning opportunities for data analysis and reporting solutions.
  • Create high-quality documentation to describe data products and maintain data models, dictionaries, and quality characteristics.
  • Align work to the Data strategy and functional roadmaps.
  • Assist support teams in resolving technical issues with data and report solutions.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through market review and educational workshops.
  • Contribute to the success of colleagues and teams through collaboration and coaching.
  • Create DataOps/DevOps pipelines for deployment of code from Dev-Test-Prod.
