Summary: The Senior Data Engineer role focuses on building and maintaining scalable data pipelines within an Azure-based data platform for an enterprise data platform. Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain data pipelines for structured and unstructured data
- Develop ELT workflows using Azure Databricks (PySpark)
- Write performant SQL and apply good data modelling practices
- Support batch and near–real-time data processing use cases
- Work with Azure services such as Event Hubs, Storage Accounts, and Key Vault
- Contribute to data governance and security best practices
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver pragmatic solutions
Key Skills:
- Strong experience as a Data Engineer in an Azure environment
- Hands-on Databricks and PySpark development experience
- Solid SQL and relational database knowledge
- Experience supporting data pipelines in production environments
- Good communication skills and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders
- Exposure to streaming solutions (Structured Streaming, Auto Loader) - nice to have
- Experience with Unity Catalog or data governance tooling - nice to have
- Salesforce or Data Cloud integrations - nice to have

This role will focus on building and maintaining scalable data pipelines within an Azure-based data platform, working closely with product, data, and business teams to deliver reliable and high-quality data solutions.
