The role
I am partnering with a digital consultancy is delivering a data transformation for an investment bank.
The architect and analysts are already in place.
They need a senior Data Engineer to build out the platform.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain data pipelines in Databricks
- Design and deliver medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold)
- Model and implement Data Vault in the silver layer
- Work closely with the architect and analysts to turn requirements into working pipelines
- Keep data quality, testing and performance in check
What you'll need
- Strong hands-on Databricks experience (Spark, Delta Lake, PySpark/SQL)
- Proven medallion architecture delivery
- Data Vault modelling experience
- Financial services background, ideally investment banking
- Senior-level engineer who can hit the ground running on a short contract
Nice to have
- Experience with Unity Catalog and CI/CD for data pipelines
- Exposure to regulated data environments
