Summary: The Senior Data Engineer role involves designing and maintaining data pipelines and optimizing data architecture using Microsoft Fabric. Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain end-to-end bronze-silver-gold data pipelines to support data integration, transformation, and modelling.
- Optimise lakehouse architecture and design semantic models to enhance data accessibility and usability.
- Implement data matching, quality rules, and governance standards to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Contribute to documentation and establish engineering best practises within the team.
- Collaborate with various integration platforms, particularly focusing on contact centre systems (especially AWS Connect), CRM systems, and line-of-business applications.
- Analyse channel shift and operational insights to drive process improvements.
- Develop Power BI models and optimise reporting performance to support data-driven decision-making.
- Create intuitive dashboards that empower business users to extract actionable insights independently.
- Support analysts by providing expertise and guidance in data extraction and analysis.
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in data engineering.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Fabric with strong end-to-end platform capabilities.
- Experience working in agile delivery teams and able to operate independently in complex stakeholder environments.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly land in a new environment and add value.
- Proven skills in stakeholder engagement and relationship building.
- Strong coaching and mentorship abilities to uplift internal teams.
- Familiarity with data engineering and architecture, integration experience, and analytics/reporting.
