Summary: The role of Senior Data Engineer involves working on complex engineering problems within a fast-growing FinTech company focused on Private Market Investments. The position requires a strong foundation in computer science and data modeling, along with hands-on experience in data processing and cloud technologies. The contract is for 6 months with the possibility of extensions, requiring three days of onsite work in Central London. The role is classified as outside IR35, offering a competitive daily rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply computer science fundamentals and data modeling in engineering tasks.
- Manage the software delivery lifecycle as it pertains to data.
- Utilize Python and SQL for data-related tasks.
- Implement streaming and data processing technologies such as Kafka, Spark, or Athena.
- Work hands-on with Azure cloud services.
- Employ containerization and orchestration techniques.
- Communicate technical decisions effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
Key Skills:
