Summary: The Senior Data Consultant role is an interim position focused on leading the data and analytics strategy for a high-growth insurance brokerage undergoing transformation and M&A activity. This high-profile role involves direct collaboration with C-suite executives and private equity stakeholders to establish a scalable data foundation for future growth. The consultant will be responsible for defining and delivering a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the company's commercial and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and deliver a firm-wide data and analytics strategy aligned to commercial and operational goals.
- Conduct a current-state assessment of data systems, governance, architecture, and reporting.
- Shape and roadmap the future data landscape, including warehousing, integration, and BI tooling.
- Introduce data governance frameworks, quality controls, and reporting standards across the business.
- Drive consolidation of data assets following recent acquisitions.
- Identify high-impact analytics use cases to enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Support executive decision-making with expert insight on data platform options and organisational design.
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience in senior data leadership or consultancy roles within insurance broking.
- A strong understanding of data architecture, governance, and advanced analytics.
- Experience in PE-backed or transformation-led environments, ideally post-acquisition.
- The ability to operate strategically with hands-on capability to deliver results in an interim setting.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement skills, with comfort advising senior leadership and private equity sponsors.
