Summary: The Senior Data Analyst role focuses on enhancing data quality and investment reporting within an established Australian financial services organization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and validate large datasets to support investment analytics, reporting, and operational decision-making.
  • Partner with business and technology teams to improve data quality, governance, and reporting outcomes.
  • Support the ongoing enhancement of enterprise data platforms and integration processes.
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries, analytical models, and reporting solutions.
  • Assist with the delivery of data-driven initiatives across cloud-based data environments.
  • Produce insights and visualisations using BI and analytics tools to support stakeholder requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.

Key Skills:

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Data Analyst.
  • Prior experience working within investment management, asset management, wealth management, or broader financial services investment environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
  • Exposure to modern cloud and data platform ecosystems such as AWS, Snowflake, or Azure.
  • Experience supporting or contributing to data quality and data governance initiatives.
  • Proficiency in SQL and confidence working with large-scale datasets.
  • Familiarity with analytical and visualisation tools including Power BI, Tableau, Python, R, or advanced Excel.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
