Summary: The Senior Data Analyst role focuses on commercial analytics within a high-growth software business, emphasizing the importance of data-driven decision-making for leadership across finance and operations. The analyst will work closely with senior stakeholders to provide insights that drive business performance, particularly in a SaaS environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting board and leadership reporting
- Analysing financial and operational performance trends
- Building scalable reporting and insight workflows
- Working across finance, data and operational teams
- Improving consistency and quality of business reporting
- Identifying trends, risks and commercial opportunities within the data
- Translating analytical findings into actionable business insight
Key Skills:
- Strong SQL capability
- Experience using Power BI in a commercial environment
- Exposure to Snowflake or modern cloud data platforms
- Strong understanding of SaaS / subscription metrics (ARR, churn, retention etc.)
- Experience supporting finance, commercial or executive reporting
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and leadership teams
- Ability to communicate complex findings clearly and confidently
- Experience within scale-up, SaaS or PE-backed environments beneficial

I’m currently supporting a high-growth software business on a key commercial analytics contract that informs leadership decision-making across finance, operations, and business performance. This is a high-visibility role that sits closely with senior leadership and would suit someone who combines strong analytical capability with commercial thinking, stakeholder communication, and executive-level reporting experience. The role is less about producing dashboards in isolation and much more about helping leadership teams understand what is happening across the business, why it is happening, and where attention should be focused. The environment is fast-moving, commercially focused and highly data-driven, with a strong emphasis on recurring revenue performance, SaaS metrics and strategic growth reporting.
Key requirements:
- Strong SQL capability
- Experience using Power BI in a commercial environment
