Summary: The Senior Data Analyst – Analytics Engineer role is a 6-month contract position focused on transforming complex data into actionable insights within a leading media and entertainment organization. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to develop scalable analytics solutions and enhance reporting capabilities. The role involves significant responsibilities in data visualization, quality processes, and presenting findings to senior leadership. This opportunity offers a hybrid working model based in London, with a competitive day rate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of dashboards and data visualisations using Power BI, Excel, SQL, Tableau, and/or Power Automate.
  • Gather and document requirements from business stakeholders, translating complex business needs into robust analytical solutions and data workflows.
  • Own data quality processes, including data cleaning, transformation, validation, and modelling to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
  • Establish, maintain, and enhance best practices for data modelling, reporting, and visualisation standards.
  • Present analytical findings, trends, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional teams in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to automate data processes, optimise reporting infrastructure, and improve existing analytics frameworks.
  • Act as a strong team contributor and leader, fostering a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Key Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Data Analytics, Analytics Engineering, Power BI Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and Excel, with experience using Tableau and/or Power Automate.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality dashboards, reporting solutions, and analytics products.
  • Strong experience gathering requirements and managing stakeholders across multiple business functions.
  • Extensive knowledge of data cleaning, transformation, modelling, and preparing datasets for scalable analytics solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to create intuitive, user-focused, and visually compelling dashboards.
  • Experience working within complex enterprise environments.
  • Power BI and/or Azure certifications are highly desirable.
  • Python experience would be advantageous.
  • Previous Business Analyst experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Must be UK-based and able to commute to the London office three days per week.
