Summary: The Senior Credit Analyst role involves managing credit risk through data-driven insights and recommendations that influence credit policies and strategies. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance credit scorecards and decision-making processes. The analyst will utilize advanced analytical tools to identify trends and propose effective changes to existing credit policies. This contract position is based in Glasgow, requiring 2-3 days of on-site work per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, maintain and enhance critical credit scorecards and decisioning performance across consumer and business journeys.
- Collaborate with other team leads to identify risks, improve processes, and optimise connections to our network.
- Engage with stakeholders across different business areas to align strategies and achieve company goals.
- Provide valuable feedback on propositions, projects, and services.
- Analyze data using Excel, SAS, Alteryx, and Python to identify trends and opportunities.
- Challenge existing credit policies and propose effective changes.
- Perform regular and ad-hoc tasks, delivering actionable insights to drive positive outcomes.
Key Skills:
- Experience managing and developing credit scorecards (Essential).
- Advanced Excel skills (Macros, Pivots, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, etc.). VBA knowledge is beneficial.
- Recent experience analysing data using SAS/SQL, Alteryx, or similar tools (within the last 6 months).
- Mathematical or finance-related degree or proven experience at a senior/lead analyst level.
