The Role

The Lost Estate is seeking a brilliant Senior Creative Strategist to look after our Meta advertising initiative over the next three months on a fixed term basis.

The Opportunity

Across the last 6 months The Lost Estate’s Performance Marketing team have built a powerful creative flywheel for paid Meta - a methodology and team structure capable of driving the company from today’s £20 million turnover to tomorrow’s high 8-figures and beyond, all via incredible performance creative. The only thing we’re missing is a creative linchpin to deliver that system in full.

At The Lost Estate, our paid social strategy is creative-led - we look to use art, consumer psychology, and data-driven storytelling to create high-converting creative at scale. As Senior Creative Strategist, you’ll take ownership of our Paid Meta creative, responsible for the quality, volume and diversity of content produced. You’ll strategise and brief out new campaigns, you’ll take creative assets from first draft to final upload, you'll build and improve the system that powers it all, and you’ll mentor those around you to do likewise - both in your own team and adjacent teams like influencer marketing. This is a role designed for a bold creative leader who thrives at the intersection of artistic and analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

KPIs

  • Overall responsibility for the two key Meta performance metrics - volume and cost of acquisition - as well as secondary metrics - click-through rates, hook and hold rates
  • Overall responsibility for Meta advertising pipeline - delivering targets for volume, diversity, and quality of ads produced

Creative Strategy

  • Drive the delivery of all Meta creative from concept to execution - strategise and brief new ads personally as well as overseeing team members’ ad work through to finished product.
  • Lead periodic work in progress/creative review sessions with Department Heads and Directors
  • Ensure targets and standards for volume, diversity of content, and creative quality are delivered across the Meta ads team.
  • Build and develop the underlying ad creation method and resources to support these targets, from key documents like our Message House to freelance creative rosters.
  • Stay ahead of trends in consumer behaviour, creative formats, and platform best practices to continuously grow, push boundaries, and ensure TLE remains at the cutting edge of Meta advertising.
  • Mentor others to become better creative strategists across your own and adjacent teams, offering feedback and helping build frameworks and systems for others.

Creative Analysis and Optimisation

  • Run a comprehensive CRO programme on Meta ads with a weekly rhythm of performance analysis and data-driven testing on messaging and creative
  • Report cross-department on creative results, key winners and losers, testing insights etc. to build team-wide understanding of how our ads work.
  • Maintain all needed tracking and reporting frameworks from the Meta pixel itself through to tools like Google Analytics, as well as best practices around UTM parameters, naming conventions, etc

About You

Must-Have Skills & Experience

  • Strategic creative excellence in direct response: Proven track record of conceptualising and delivering innovative, high-performing direct response creative from broad strategy down to individual deliverable, tailored to digital advertising and particularly Meta advertising.
  • Expertise in consumer psychology: Understanding what resonates with audiences, what makes them take action and how to translate that into compelling campaigns.
  • Data analysis: Ability to analyse and act on performance data to optimise creative performance, specifically using Meta Ads Manager, Google Analytics, and, ideally, data visualisation tools like Google Data Studio.
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience managing high-budget campaigns (minimum £150k per month) on Meta.
  • Demonstrable success in bringing these skills and experience together to deliver campaigns that exceed performance goals.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Agency experience: Proven adaptability and ability to thrive in advertising teams where campaigns, brands, and briefs change regularly.
  • Experience working further down the funnel: strategising, creating, and optimising landing pages to support the full paid funnel.
  • Familiarity with Figma and Notion for creative collaboration and development.
