Summary: The Senior Contracts Officer (Legal) role involves managing and advising on research-related and commercial contracts within a small legal team on a fixed-term contract basis. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and advise on research-related and commercial contracts for stakeholders.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts while managing legal risk.
  • Deputise for the Head of Team and mentor junior colleagues.
  • Build effective internal and external relationships.

Key Skills:

  • Law degree or relevant legal qualification (LLB, LLM, CPE, SQE, LPC, CILEX).
  • Experience in a busy Contracts/Legal team (public sector/in-house preferred).
  • Strong drafting, negotiating, and risk management skills.
  • Knowledge of Data Protection and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and initiative.

Salary (Rate): £500 per day
