Summary: The Senior Contract Manager is responsible for overseeing health, safety, and environmental compliance, ensuring best practices are followed across the GM area. Key Skills:

  • Experience in delivering O&M services within the energy sector.
  • Health and Safety qualifications (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH).
  • Technical background in Energy.
  • HNC or equivalent in Engineering or relevant qualification.
  • Commercial and contractual experience.
  • Renewable energy and electrical experience beneficial.
  • Experience with CEF contracts beneficial.

Responsibilities:

  • Safety Health and Environment
    • Ensure Contract Manager, Site Manager and Supervisors exercising Management and control of HS&E, in terms of legal compliance to Veolia's standards and legislation
    • Maintain focus on 'Zero Harm'
    • Take an active role across GM area to promote and encourage best HS&E practice
    • Delivery of Veolia Minimum Standards across the portfolio
  • Technical
    • Waste Knowledge - Non hazardous and Hazardous
    • Treatment technologies for recycling streams
    • Project Management and problem solving
    • Circular Economy / Application of the Waste Hierarchy
  • Contract Delivery
    • Strong Customer Management skills to manage
    • Maintain current Contract Health reviews with actions to improve contract delivery
    • Build relationships with customers with view to extend contracts, expand scope of work and sell other services to customers
  • Quality Management/ Continuous Improvement
    • Utilise the Veolia support functions to assist with developing and executing Improvement plans
    • Able to recognise problems and use resource available to solve these problems
    • Work with wider teams to standardise processes to build resilience across contracts
  • Financial, Commercial & Contract Management
    • Work with your Contract Manager, Site Managers and Supervisors for all to understand their P&Ls and to track performance
    • Keep 'Lead in' forecast up to date and develop mitigation plans when forecasts indicate below target performance.
    • In consultation with team prepare annual budgets and F1/2 forecasts and assist with presenting to Senior Mgt
    • Understand contracts to ensure Veolia extra full commercial value
  • People Management
    • Assist with succession planning for the area, to include mentoring graduates and talent within area
    • Develop training and development plans
    • Work with teams to ensure teams are motivated and delivering to a high standard
  • Business Development
    • Work with the local teams and BD to find and establish new business across the region.
