Summary: We are looking for a Senior Content Designer to join a government cyber unit partnership team for a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension. The role involves taking ownership of content design across digital services, ensuring clarity and user-centeredness. Candidates should be able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities. The position requires active SC clearance and offers a flexible working arrangement with one day on-site per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver user-centred content across digital services and platforms
- Create a wide range of content including guidance, service content, case studies, blogs and policy content
- Ensure content decisions are driven by user needs, insights and end-to-end journeys
- Manage and prioritise a high volume of content requests effectively
- Use CMS platforms (eg WordPress, Whitehall) to publish and maintain content
- Apply Agile ways of working to manage delivery and workload
- Work independently to deliver high-quality outputs with minimal direction
- Support and mentor other content designers within the team where needed
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in content design within digital services
- Proven experience working in central government or public sector environments
- Strong understanding of user-centred design and content strategy
- Experience delivering a variety of content types across service and policy contexts
- Hands-on experience using CMS platforms
- Ability to manage workload in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
- Confident working independently with strong decision-making skills
