Summary: The role of Interim Senior Consultant - Data Stream Lead involves leading data streams in complex delivery environments for a specialist Management Consultancy. The position can be based in London or Belgium, requiring occasional travel between the two locations. The consultant will manage senior stakeholders and ensure alignment between data delivery and transformation objectives within a multi-vendor environment. This is an immediate start role with a duration of 6 to 12 months, focusing on enterprise transformation in a global distribution and manufacturing organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Navigate complex technical environments and competing change programmes to drive a clear delivery plan to achieve transformation objectives.
  • Management of senior stakeholders to make decisions in an environment of competing priority.
  • Work closely with product managers, data and technical leads, vendors, and the Transformation Office to ensure alignment between Data delivery and portfolio plans, including adoption of Jira-based plan.
  • Maintain the Data stream roadmap and forecasts, focusing on milestones, sequencing, and dependencies, while relying on product managers and analysts for day-to-day delivery detail.
  • Own the integrated planning, dependency management, and reporting for the Data stream, covering four interrelated data initiatives delivered through hybrid teams.
  • Act as the focal point for Data-related dependencies across the wider transformation programme, providing impact analysis and driving prioritisation and trade-off decisions.
  • Lead executive-level reporting and governance for the Data stream, including preparing clear, decision-focused updates and running the Data SteerCo.

Key Skills:

  • Senior experience leading planning or programme management within complex data or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Strong capability in planning, roadmap management, dependency analysis, and prioritisation across interdependent delivery teams.
  • Data-fluent and credible across data platforms, analytics, migration, cleansing or governance, with the ability to break down complexity and communicate this to senior audiences.
  • Comfortable operating at executive level, shaping decisions and leading discussions.
  • Confident working in hybrid delivery environments and multi-vendor settings.
  • Able to holistically manage senior reporting and detailed planning elements of the stream.
  • Experience using Jira and Confluence for planning, dependency tracking, and reporting (preferred).

We're excited to be partnering with our specialist Management Consultancy Client, on our search for an Interim Senior Consultant - Data Stream Lead. This role can be based in London with 6-12 days per month worked at the Belgium site, or can be based in Belgium with occasional trips to London offices. We’re looking for an experienced Management Consultant, with a specialism in leading data streams in complex delivery environments. If this has been in supply chain & manufacturing environments - even better. This is an immediate start role and will run for 6 - 12 months. Excellent Consultancy and a market leading global distribution and manufacturing organisation / end Client. Flemish / French speaking advantageous, but not an essential criteria. The organisation is undertaking a large, multi-year enterprise transformation to modernise core business processes, replace and upgrade critical platforms, and improve the availability, quality and usability of business and operational data. Delivery is executed within a complex, multi-vendor environment, with multiple system integrator partners and varying levels of vendor dependency across projects - so having a strong technical delivery and data background is a definite pre-requisite. Navigation within this environment requires strong project delivery experience (with experience delivering complex technical programmes) and rigorous governance skills.
