The Opportunity
BAE Systems is seeking an experienced Marketing and Communications Manager to join its Sheffield team on an initial 12-month contract.
You will lead external communications and marketing campaigns to strengthen brand awareness, support business growth and enhance stakeholder engagement within the Weapon Systems UK business unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver strategic marketing and external communications campaigns.
- Manage media relations, press releases and executive communications.
- Lead digital and social media content, advertising, exhibitions and events.
- Build relationships with external stakeholders, media and industry partners.
- Monitor campaign performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure communications meet corporate brand guidelines and messaging.
- Provide strategic advice and coordinate communications across teams.
- Support crisis communications, change management and reputation management.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in marketing, communications or external affairs.
- Strong content creation and campaign management skills.
- Experience managing media relations and stakeholder engagement.
- Excellent written communication, organisation and project management skills.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and work independently.
- Experience measuring campaign performance and delivering results.
- Degree, equivalent qualification or relevant experience in a related discipline.
Desirable
- Defence or engineering sector experience.
