Summary: The Senior Commissioning Engineer role involves overseeing the commissioning of high voltage substations within Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) environments. This position is initially contracted for 12 months with a strong possibility of extension and is classified as outside IR35. The engineer will be expected to work independently while managing multiple commissioning packages concurrently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commissioning HV / EHV substations (typically 132kV-400kV).
- Manage multiple commissioning packages concurrently.
- Ensure compliance with UK DNO / TSO safety rules.
- Utilize strong understanding of protection relays, SCADA systems, and control panels.
