Summary: A Senior Commercial Finance Analyst is needed for an 18-month fixed-term contract at a large private equity-owned transport company in Stockport. The role involves supporting the implementation of a new reporting system and providing financial analysis to management. Key Responsibilities:

• Set up the template for the Profit & Loss (P&L) statement.
• Gather standard assumptions for the Profit & Loss (P&L) statement.
• Provide Q&A support to Management Accountants (MAs) and Managing Directors (MDs).
• Validate inputs, perform data cleansing, and make necessary adjustments in the Profit & Loss (P&L) statement.
• Query outputs to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Conduct analysis and provide insights based on findings.
• Create the Board Pack for presentation and reporting.
• Upload the forecast and validate it within the Profit & Loss (P&L) framework.

Key Skills:

• Part-Qualified or newly qualified with experience in providing financial analysis - Desirable
• Proven experience providing financial analysis to a business - Essential
• Clear ability to effectively communicate amongst different levels of a large, geographically spread business - Essential
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills - Essential
