Senior Cloud Platform Engineer - observability Contract Inside IR35 Hybrid (3 days onsite in London) We're looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to take ownership of building and evolving observability capabilities across a large-scale AWS platform.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on designing telemetry pipelines, improving platform visibility, and enabling engineering teams to operate highly reliable Kubernetes-based services.
What we're looking for:
- Strong AWS experience, particularly with cloud-native infrastructure
- Hands-on Kubernetes/EKS administration in production environments
- Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
- Observability tooling including OpenTelemetry, Prometheus and Grafana
- Experience building monitoring, logging and distributed tracing solutions
- Strong Linux and networking knowledge
- CI/CD, automation and scripting (Python or Bash)
- Experience working in high-availability, mission-critical production environments
You'll be responsible for:
- Building and enhancing cloud observability platforms
- Instrumenting applications and infrastructure with metrics, logs and traces
- Creating dashboards, alerts and SLO-driven monitoring
- Improving platform reliability, automation and operational excellence
- Working closely with platform and software engineering teams to support production systems
