Job title: Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
Rate: Up to £650 per day inside IR35
Location: Reading / Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite
Contract: 6-month rolling contract
Active SC Clearances required
I'm recruiting for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join a leading UK defence company working on a major submarine project.
The programme is undertaking a significant on-premise to cloud migration, and we're looking for an experienced infrastructure specialist who can take ownership across the design, build and deployment of cloud infrastructure.
What you'll bring
- We're looking for strong hands-on experience across:
- Cloud infrastructure design, build and deployment
- Enterprise VMware / vSphere / ESXi / vCenter
- NSX / NSX-T
- On-premise to cloud migration
- Hybrid cloud infrastructure
- Infrastructure architecture and implementation
- Cloud platform integration and transformation
- vSAN, HCX and/or VMware Aria would be advantageous

You'll be working on a high-profile defence programme, helping deliver a complex infrastructure transformation supporting a strategically important submarine capability.
